In 2021 we received the beautiful request to provide the two new grandstands at the magnificent Formula 1 circuit 'Spa Francorshamps' with grandstand seats. The plans were to create 1 of the new grandstands at the top of the famous corner combination 'Eau Rouge of Raidillon' with 4600 seats and the other grandstand will be located a bit back. This can be found just after the first corner 'La Source' and the first part of 'Eau Rouge' in.

After a visit at the headquarters of the Belgian project developer 'WUST', we had been commissioned to provide the new stand with chairs! The type HSS-V was chosen, this is a connected chair. It was quite a challenge to fit the chairs and numbers neatly, not only because you are dependent on the precision of other companies, such as the concrete contractor who lays the concrete elements, but also because we were asked not only to glue the numbers on but also to fasten them with two stainless steel screws per chair (almost 10,000 pre-drilled and 10,000 screws!).

In the end after many hours of toil by our assembly team and by Jos and myself we think we have produced a very nice stand and it has already been used with great pleasure during the spectacular race last August!
