Many clubs face a shortage of locker rooms. Especially on Saturday mornings when many pupil matches are played. Associations do not have the money and space available to expand the locker rooms overnight. The team locker offers a quick and much cheaper solution.

The practical side of the team locker

The principle of the team locker is actually quite simple. Players on a team put on their uniforms and shoes in the locker room. They then store their clothes and other belongings in their sports bags. They then place their bags in the locker. Then the mesh locker is closed. Thus, the locker room is completely free for the next team. In addition, all valuables such as cell phones, wallets, jewelry and keys are also safely stored. So the lockers also serve as locker room lockers.

The locker room lockers are locked with an electronic code lock. This lock is characterized by its simple operation. Each user can enter their own numeric code of four positions. By entering the self-devised code twice, the locker closes. Opening the locker is also easy; you simply enter your own code once. Of course, an administrator code is available in case the entered code cannot be retrieved. The lock is dust-proof and splash-proof. The two included penlite batteries last approximately three years.

Where do you put team lockers?

Team lockers can be placed inside, in a central (locker) room or outside under a shelter. If you have the choice as a club, it is convenient to place the lockers as close to the locker rooms as possible. This can be done, for example, in the central hall adjacent to the locker rooms. However, you should keep a close eye on whether the hallway is still wide enough according to fire department regulations. Sometimes a club will sacrifice a locker room to make it into a team locker room.

At a sports complex, there is often a so-called "blind wall" outside. The lockers could be placed against this wall under a canopy. Often they are then also well in sight. Placing lockers in the locker room is also possible, although this has the disadvantage that the space is often a bit on the cramped side.
