The subsidy scheme "Stimulating construction and maintenance of sports facilities" or the BOSA is intended for amateur sports organizations. These organizations can apply for subsidies for construction and maintenance costs of sports facilities and the purchase of sports equipment. A budget of €74 million has been made available for the year 2025. The budget is distributed in order of receipt of complete applications.

The grant is for amateur sports organizations with the following characteristics:

  • Accommodation is made available to amateur sports for local use
  • There is a legal entity under private law (i.e., a non-profit association, for example)
  • The association has the correct SBI code. Codes beginning with the numbers 93.1 are sports organizations and are therefore eligible.

Current state

The rule is that no more grant can be applied for when the total amount of grant requested in 2025 exceeds 155% of the budget. This means that the application form will be closed once the amount of grant requested in more than €114.7 million. As of March 6, 2025, 3,296 applications have been received and the total amount requested stands at €111.7 million this date.

How does it work?

You can receive 20% of your purchase price back if you spend at least €12,500.00 on construction costs, maintenance costs and/or the purchase of sports equipment. Are you making your accommodation more sustainable or accessible for at least € 8.333,00? Then you can get 30% back on the materials you need for this. You can apply for a maximum of 2.5 million subsidy per calendar year.

Given our range, you can get a subsidy on the products listed below:

  • Team lockers at 20%
  • Bag lockers at 20%
  • Ball lockers at 20%
  • Golf lockers at 20%

DUMAVA

The subsidy scheme Sustainable Social Real Estate (DUMAVA) is implemented by the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland. From 2025 this is also open to sports facilities owned by an amateur sports organization. From June 2, 2025 you can apply for a subsidy. Note; you can either use the BOSA or the DUMAVA. There are a number of differences between the two schemes and you can read about them here.
